BraaiBoy is one of South Africa’s original live-fire cooking personalities, with nearly two decades of experience in braai, smoked BBQ and flame-cooked catering. From international food competitions and record-breaking braai challenges to festivals, corporate events and premium private functions, he brings bold flavour, energy and a genuine love of cooking over fire to every event.
Andre Booysen, better known as Bison, is a braaing specialist with a natural talent for live-fire cooking and building strong client relationships. After meeting BraaiBoy while catering the same event, the two clicked immediately and went on to become partners in Kindled Catering, united by a shared passion for fire, hunting and authentic bushveld catering.
Riyaadh joined the team in the kitchen at Ketelkraal TapRoom, bringing with him a background as a trained pastry chef and a strong eye for detail. He quickly mastered the art of BBQ smoking and open-fire cooking and now heads up the kitchen team behind the scenes, helping ensure every dish is prepared with consistency, skill and care.
CJ is the entrepreneur and craftsman behind Ketelkraal, a proudly South African brand built around brewing, distilling, fermentation and craft beverages. Through years of hands-on industry experience, CJ has grown Ketelkraal into a diverse operation spanning equipment manufacturing, contract production, events and hospitality. CJ brings practical expertise, creativity and a genuine passion for the craft to Kindled Catering.
